CURUYE’s SEPTEMBER CUBAN SALSA TIMBA DANCE PARTY with DEEJAY WARAPO celebrates Cuban dance music, and this month ‘las aguas,’ the deities of the sea, and of the lakes and rivers from Cuba’s Yoruba tradition. Cuban dancer KATI HERNÁNDEZ will teach some traditional Afro Cuban movements that are sometimes incorporated into popular Cuban dance. In addition to the Cuban salsa, 'Casino' dancing, we’ll be dancing some fun and funky reggaetón lines throughout the night! KARLA MICHELLE, ALMA ÁLVAREZ, RICARDO SALAZAR, JESÚS ORNELAS, AFIMAYE GALARRAGA, PEDRO MUÑECO AGUILAR will be among those dancing the birthday dance!
